Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

An aircraft carrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official announcement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.

"The plane touched down based on standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative stated in a online announcement.

Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the city of Brussels during the flight.

This occurrence isn't the first time that a United States armed forces jet transporting a high-ranking official has encountered equipment failures.

In a previous incident this year, a American military jet transporting Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was compelled to turn back to Washington DC after encountering a mechanical problem.
